How it works
- Occupied beds = licensed beds × occupancy percentage.
- Monthly gross revenue = occupied beds × average monthly resident rate.
- Annual gross revenue = monthly gross revenue × 12.
- The scenario table repeats the same formula at 75%, 85%, 90%, 95%, and 100% occupancy.
Example using the default assumptions
A 6-bed home at 85% occupancy and $6,500 per month has 5.1 occupied beds and about $33,150 in estimated monthly gross revenue, or about $397,800 annually before expenses.
Important assumptions
- Revenue is gross and does not subtract expenses, refunds, or uncollected balances.
- One average rate is used for all residents.
- Private-pay and Medicaid mix is not modeled unless you blend it into the average rate.
- Occupancy is an average across the month.
