Staffing is usually one of the largest operating costs in an Adult Family Home. It is also one of the easiest numbers to underestimate if you count only daytime hours or omit payroll burden.

Estimate cost without claiming a legal ratio

Required staffing depends on state rules, resident needs, and the care model. A calculator cannot tell you the legal minimum. It can only price the hours you plan to schedule.
